The Biden Harris Administration Looks More Like Laurel and Hardy

Examining the recent events that have unfolded over the last 2 weeks in this year's presidential race, a few descriptions come to mind when thinking of the Kamala Harris campaign: "The wheels have come off," "A derailment," "Flying into the side of a mountain," or my personal favorite, like being in New Jersey in 1937 viewing the Hindenburg coming down and there ain't nothing you can do but stand there and watch.

The past few weeks, this comedy of errors is reminiscent of a baseball team

enjoying an enormous lead until the bottom falls out. A few walks, then a chance for a double play. Only an error occurs. Instead of two outs, now the bases are loaded. With one swing, the number four hitter lives up to h

is name, clearing the bases. Then another walk. You get where this is leading.

In an attempt to make Harris look presidential, voters are reminded of the reasons she is Vice President. Putting her out front as the face of the administration's hurricane relief efforts turned into an epic fail. Moreover, not even on the same page, the

Biden Harris administration looks more like Laurel and Hardy. Why put her out there on the same platform with him? She has no power as Veep. An unforgettable moment in that will stand the test of time is her snapping at an aide during a video conference with Florida mayors, informing the person that this is a live Zoom call.

As if the bad news on how Americans perceive the economy, coupled with 72% of respondents believing the country is headed in the wrong direction, were not enough for her campaign strategist to worry about, she went on the talk show circuit and looked even more silly. Nobody believes she owns a Glock, and drinking a beer with Stephen Colbert is akin to Michael Dukakis in the tank.

Biden hangs around her neck like an albatross, and she did her campaign no favor by giving the president her voice of approval, stating she would have done nothing different as president.

Despite all these troubling setbacks facing her campaign, advisors are now confronted with minimizing the damage inflicted by the vice president in what future political scientists undoubtedly will dub the "CBS Interview."

Just two weeks ago, the Harris campaign seemed to be riding high, but now it is underwater. The latest polls released show a shift to Trump. Her campaign must focus on damage control, but I do not know if stopping the hemorrhaging is attainable. Even if they manage, these stories will dominate the headlines for a week, and who knows what other gaffes she is capable of committing.

Everything appears to be trending in Donald Trump's favor. At the rate these missteps compound, not only is she going down in defeat, but she's taking four senators and twenty house members with her. With 23 days to go, "The Donald" is separating himself from Harris.
