Terri LaPoint is running for Congress in Alabama's House District Three against incumbent Representative Mike Rogers and diesel mechanic Draic Coakley. LaPoint, an investigative journalist who authored the book "Voices That Will Not Be Silenced," is a prominent figure in the Alabama GOP. Serving as president of the Republican Women of Trussville, she is also a leader in the Republican Women of Alabama and is a member of the St. Clair Republican Party.
LaPoint has won awards for her journalism. She is leading the fight against modern-day slavery: the sex trafficking of women and children. She has exposed "medical kidnapping" and has voiced opposition to children bein
g taken away from their families.
In the latest Alabama election news, she appeared on The BCS State of Alabama podcast with co-host Brandon Moseley, lead editor of the Alabama Gazette, and myself last week, highlighting her ongoing battle to protect families. The election will be held in May 2026.
