I have a great time meeting and talking with candidates. Some leave no impression. While some are unforgettable. I love talking to my politico people but sometimes it's refreshing to see a brand new face who doesn't have a clue yet about how corrupt the system is.
Meet candidate Mike Dunn. Mike is a 42 year old combat veteran that served in the Marine corps. Mike is a down to earth kind of guy. I could tell his intentions are pure because Mike had it rough for a while.
Like many vets Mike at one time was homeless but he has since built a nice life for himself. He has children. That's probably why his number one priority is education. Now Mike, different from a lot of people, didn't start blaming anymore. He took up for the teachers. Said they have too many students to teach in a classroom setting and he's right. He also mentioned medicinal marijuana for soldiers who suffered from PTSD. Again he's right on that issue.
Mike got in the race to change things. Win or lose I hope he stays in politics for years to come. I wish more people like him would run. I don't know how many votes he will get but I know one he's got and that's
mine.
