Bewildered By Alabama Political Reporter
Like a glutton for punishment, I ended up back at the Fake News Alabama Political Reporter. Utter disbelief. How APR owner Bill Britt and Josh Moon contrived to somehow create election news out of the United States House of Representatives Congressional District 2 Republican nominee Caroleen Dobson's family, that according to Michael Harriot's op-ed, were slave owners who cheated the natives out of land and may or may not have formed the KKK, leaves me bewildered.
Manufacturing A Story
Is the 2024 presidential election so boring that they manufactured this? Obviously, they didn't discuss articles before running with the story, if you want to classify this as such. Epic fail.
Josh Moon Scatter Brained Words
I know that Josh Moon wrote an op-ed and it does not necessarily represent the views of APR. There is no way that monstrosity should have been allowed because I am of the opinion that one ought to at least get a historical fact correct instead of just putting some, for lack of a better phrase, scatter brained words on paper.
Josh Moon Political Analysis
The way the Josh Moon political analysis attempted to lay the blame of racism on the doorstep of Caroleen Dobson, I am amazed he didn't try to have her removed from the ballot because she didn't sign an oath of allegiance to the United States due to her ties to the Confederacy through her great-great-great-great-great-grandfather. What an embarrassment, and then to add insult to injury, Bill Britt doubles down and writes an article over her denial of her family's ties to the KKK. How would she know? Was his? Maybe mine were. I don't know. But who cares?
*An Apology To Yellow Hammer News*.
I must say that I owe Yellow Hammer News an apology. I know I have derided them in the past for their ties to Alabama Power, but they do possess the journalistic integrity not to publish this bunk. Now, with that being said, this is not like the despicable posts on 1819 News last year by Craig Monger and Jeff Poor that I will not mention out of respect for those people involved. This is just plain stupid.
Conclusion
I can't help but wonder what were y'all thinking? This is a pathetic attempt to stir controversy by race baiting.
