Keith Sullivan and the killing of Greg Bagwell. How a tyrannical prosecutors rouge prosecution of a man defending his family is an assault on the pillars of our society.

Keith Sullivan and Greg Bagwell

The tragic saga of what is transpiring with Keith Sullivan continues to unfold in North Alabama as the Huntsville District Attorney, Summer Summerford, continues to

mockery of the United States justice system by vowing to retry the case after jurors deadlocked last week in his murder trial for killing Greg Bagwell back in 2023.

The beginning

Mr. Sullivan shot at Mr. Bagwell eight times on that fateful night, hitting him seven times, while standing on his front porch after Bagwell, an arsonist, walked onto his property carrying a lighter with an object protruding from his back pocket. Bagwell had threatened to get him for calling law enforcement on him for banging on his trailer with some kind of metal object. Law enforcement knew Bagwell all too well.

A history

Greg Bagwell had a long, violent, destructive criminal record. He had committed arson and was arrested for crystal meth. Previously, Bagwell had been arrested for firing on law enforcement, who demonstrated tremendous restraint by only using tear gas to disable him when shot at deputies from his residence.

Wrong man. Wrong night

On the night in question, Bagwell, banned from the local gas station because of his erratic behavior, began his usual debauchery. When deputies arrived on the scene, he stopped his rampage but inquired who called them and vowed to get even with Sullivan. Bagwell saw deputies stop by to speak with Sullivan after leaving his residence. In just a few minutes, he would be dead.

The Quick and The Dead

Bagwell, delusional, came onto Sullivan's property. The entire exchange lasted about 13 seconds. What later turned out to be a hairbrush in his back pocket, Sullivan opened fire thinking Bagwell was going for a weapon. Video footage from cameras Sullivan put up due to previous threats from the deceased backs up Sullivan's claims.

A John Grisham Novel

If only the story ended there. Reading like a real thriller, the jury foreman, of all jurors, is closely associated with another one of the D.A.'s cases and is accused by the defense of trying to give Summerford a guilty verdict. Summerford, as unbelievable as this sounds, blames Sullivan's defense attorneys for not covering this during questionnaires.

A Duty

Mr. Sullivan, who has not only the right but also an obligation to protect his family, is not the only victim in this. The other is the foundation of our Constitution. D.A. Summerford is attempting to deny Jim Sullivan due process. Even deeper than that.

An Attack On Liberty

Summerford is attacking the very idealism of what America is all about: the idea of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. This assault on Jim's rights is an assault on us all. We must prevent this atrocity by spreading the truth, because the truth is the most important thing.

Final Thoughts

Without the truth, we have nothing. Let the Keith Sullivan story continue to spread and stop this travesty of justice to show the world we will hold these rights up in the face of tyranny. The next person facing an unjust prosecution may be you.
