James Carville, the Democratic strategist renowned for his role in electing Bill Clinton, has expressed deep apprehension regarding the impending presidential election.

Despite his prior assertions that Vice President Kamala Harris was poised to secure victory, Carville now voices distress over her dwindling time to resonate with voters.

During an appearance on MSNBC’s “The Beat,” Carville revealed, "The only thing I feel is, the election’s coming Nov. 5. And I’m scared to death.”He emphasized, “I’m very, very concerned.”

While polling data indicates a marginal lead for Harris over her GOP rival nationally, Carville criticized the Democratic efforts as insufficient.

“They need to be sharp,” he insisted, highlighting that Harris’ recent media engagements have primarily placed her in a reactive rather than proactive stance.

“If I have a press conference, I get to ask the questions,” Carville remarked.

Carville urged Harris to directly challenge the messaging propagated by the Republican camp, particularly the misleading narratives concerning former President Donald Trump’s tenure and proposed tariffs.“But we’re just letting that go,” Carville lamented, stressing that Harris must exhibit a more assertive approach.

Dismissing the notion that Harris still has ample time to sway voters, Carville contended, “She doesn’t have a month left. We’ve got 26 days because today is gone. You’re going to lose four to the hurricane [Milton]. ... And everything kind of shuts down the Saturday before the election.”

He further warned, “So you’re really probably under 20 days that you have to really get a message out.”

Notably, early voting for the presidential election, both via mail and in person, has already commenced in several s.tates.
