The Honorable Supreme Court Justice Will Sellers talked with me yesterday. My first time interviewing a Judge, he really educated me on their role in the appeals process.
Before being appointed to the court, Judge Sellers practiced tax law for 28 years. In 2010, he managed Kay Ivey's Lt. Governor campaign. Surprising everyone, he pulled off a stunner, upsetting incumbent Lt. Gov. Jim Folsom Jr.
We discussed elected versus appointed Judges and if PACs could influence their decisions. He replied, "Like everything it could, but he didn't think he did.
