_HOLMES BLASTS MOORE: "IS HE FOSTERING A SPIRIT OF INSURRECTION?"_
Tom Holmes, the Democratic Nominee for the United States House of Representatives in Alabama, Congressional District 1 calls out Republican Congressman Barry Moore for his comment about not accepting the election results if former president Donald Trump loses the 2024 campaign to Vice President Kamala Harris on November 5th inquiring if he "plans to go to Washington DC and storm the capitol," referencing the capital uprising on January 6th.
_HOLMES CALLS MOORE'S STATEMENT "WEIRD" AND "BIZARRE"_
Saying, "Donald Trump caused that. He fired those people up." Holmes,an Eagle Scout Leader
blasted the statement made by the GOP Representative as "bizarre" and "weird." Furthermore, Holmes wonders, "Why is he even running if he's not going to accept the results."
_HOLMES ACCUSES MOORE OF PUTTING SPECIAL INTERESTS OVER THE CITIZENRY_
Holmes, a veteran of the United States Navy, asserted, "That's just the wrong attitude to have." Although not directly, he insinuates Moore is beholden to wealthy donors, referring to the de facto incumbent as "a special interest person presenting a small group, instead of the entire district like he plans to if elected." Pointing out that he "just does not represent citizens that I would; I would rather represent all the citizens."
_MOORE'S JUDGMENT PUZZLES HOLMES: DOES HE PUT POLITICS OVER THE ELECTORATE?_
The ordained minister, in his upset bid to unseat Moore who left the Alabama state senate after self-imposing term limits, lambasted not only his lack of interaction with the constituents of District 1 but also his reasoning. The GOP House member, according to Holmes, does not attend County Commission meetings. Concerned if Moore exercises sound logic when he refuses to secure government resources for the area "because he doesn't want to add to the federal deficit," Holmes hammers his statement as "just plain stupid. That's his rationale. He wants to build a wall, though, regardless, uh, you know, with federal dollars, he still wants to build the wall.
_MOORE ALIGNs HIMSELF WITH TRUMP_
Tune in to listen to to our interview
The Democratic nominee for Alabama's first congressional district, despite the area's strong base of Republican voters, emphasizes that the conservative legislator "supports Trump." Moore's alignment with the former chief executive helped propel him to victory over the current Congressional District 1 House member Representative Jerry Carr in the GOP primary.
_VOTERS TO DECIDE_
Voters will decide next Tuesday who will go to Washington in January as the newly elected representative of House District 1 in the next Congress.
