Has Kamala Harris Lived Up to the Media Hype, or Was It All an Illusion?

Has Kamala Harris lived up to the media hyoe
The media hype on Kamala Harris has been an illusion

Upon viewing the new round of polls released today in the presidential race, I'm a country music song that comes to mind when thinking of Kamala Harris. "And I like it always does bad just gets worse."When I thought she could hear any news as bad as the last few weeks, she was handed even more troubling data.

Since that July 21st day, Joe Biden dropped out of the race, endorsing Kamala Harris, the vice president became the media darling. Thrust into the National spotlight, observers lavishly praised her candidacy as "2008 all over again."

For two months, Democrats raved over her. Each article in the news spelled doom Donald Trump his bed to become the second president to serve knock executive terms as Rover Cleveland. Harris rode a wave of momentum. After the still are debate performance against the former president, Harris stood on top of the world. Her campaign had ascended to the pinnacle.

Then, like a sinking ship, the Harris/waltz ticket slip started taking on water. In a different analysis, did her campaign ever reach the heights the media attempted to convince the public? When examining her poll numbers, she is way underperforming both Biden and Hillary Clinton. The mainstream media tried to plant a false image in voters' minds. This attempt failed

Over the last two weeks, the media narrative has changed. Gone are the headlines of Harris opening up a lead over Trump. Today, the stories are a stark contrast to too late September. At first, a few dribble out, giving warning signs, and then, like water from a cracked down, flowing from a drip to a stream and rushing.

Harris has been Her own worst enemy; for months, knowing journalists shelter her with softballs, shit, she ignored interview requests and didn't know press conferences. When at last she gave one to Dan a bash, she sent an ominous message bringing Tim Waltz with her. It's not an image a liter is trying to project.

With less than 30 days to go, she is now going on the late-night circuit, but it's too late. The vice president looks phony opening up a beer with Stephen Colbert, and her 60 menace interview is reminiscent of Ted Kennedy's. She does not have a stage presence. In other words, she's bombed. She made a strategic error by not doing these in late July and August. Americans have a conscious memory of politicians, and nobody would have remembered. No, all eyes are glued to her.

With dwindling numbers, Harris is exhibiting desperate candidate behavior. She is pushing for a second debate with Donald Trump and has accepted an invitation to participate in CNN's event. These actions are reminiscent of her first visit to the southern border in 4 years as vice president and her recent meal preparation in North Carolina. She is now relying on bold moves to handle her circumstances.

If the gravity of the situation where this race stands now and Americans soured on the economy, she commits an egregious error. Vice President Harris's presidency would have been the same as that of Joe Biden. Since July 21st, the Trump campaign has tried to make the pitch that the Harris campaign is Joe Biden's second term, and she just reiterated that for him. I want to be a fly on the wall in that war room listening to her campaign aids.

The SS Harris is going under further with each passing today. The grim reality is "sinking" in. Like flood waters rising while she's going down, Trump is surging. A national poll has the former president in the lead. In Michigan, a Quinnipiac poll showed Kamala Harris trailing Donald Trump by four points. We can see a trend developing in the Rust Belt states. Donald Trump has now won four of the last five poles in Michigan, and RCP has now moved that into the Donald Trump column.

Wisconsin has the same pattern; the former president comes out on top in three of the last four. Pennsylvania is the biggest Battleground prize in this year's electoral college in the previous six polls, Trump edged out Harris in 3 while the two candidates were tied in two others, Harris winning one.

The same applies to the vice president in the Sunbelt States. She has won one of the last nine in North Carolina, and in Georgia, the previous eight polls have Trump winning seven.

In Arizona, 9 out of 12.

These states are all within the past margin, but with 26 days to go, Donald Trump is in the catbird seat.
