Among the Lowly, written by Harriet Beecher Stowe. Terrell’s first book, Who Kidnapped Uncle
Tom and Why it Matters. The second book is entitled Meditations from the Cabin.
Who Kidnapped Uncle Tom and Why it Matters delivers a unique perspective of the Black
America Experience, connecting the 19th
to the 21st centuries. This book reveals the background concerning Uncle Tom’s Cabin, the books characters and it’s author. Terrell makes a compelling case showing how the creation of the Uncle Tom Character and the deconstructing of his
character has in history as well as our present time mirrors the story of Black America
Enslavement, Emancipation, Empowerment, and the quest for Equality. Meditations From the Cabin is a collection of forty Biblical devotions that follows the Uncle
Tom’s Cabin novel as the events of they occur in chronological order as they appear in the
novel. These selections can be used as daily or weekly meditations, or as individual studies for
spiritual growth.
Mr. Terrell invokes the spirit of the pre-Civil War freedom advocates and the 20th century
movements and personalities that were very active in the country’s struggle for civil rights.
These two books show how these individuals used the public, press, political and pulpit and
shows how we today can also in the spirit of collaboration and cooperation overcome the forces
of arrogance, division, hate and prejudice and usher in transformative change within our
relationships and the Country. Who Kidnapped Uncle Tom and Why it Matters, and Meditations from the Cabin will be available
for release Spring of 2025. Mr Terrell can be contacted through dallas.c.terrell317@gmail.com
