By Christopher M Peeks March 29, 2025

A Newcomer

Incumbent GOP Representative Mike Rogers from Alabama House District Three continues to draw challengers. Draic Coakley, a diesel mechanic from Cleburne County, has announced his intentions to unseat the congressman in next year's 2026 Republican primary in the midterm elections. In a press release yesterday, Coakley pulled no punches regarding the 11-term congressman.

Coakley Blasts Rogers in House District Three

Calling him a "career politician" that's "out of touch" and alludes to him being beholden to "special interests," Coackley says he is running because "Alabama deserves better" and feels it's time for a change with a "younger politician" to take over with fresh ideas.

Issues

Emphasizing that the southern border and the drugs pouring over are the nation's greatest threat, as well as recognizing the plight of our farmers, Coakley promises "more transparency" by holding more "town halls" to stay in tune with his constituents.
